DOG-X has come into the world during Megabass genesis and has continued to send out Megabass engineering to the world.
Taking over its legends, finally in year 2010 Super Dog-X has awakened. “High speed-dog walk” and the responsive “Quick slide & turn” is achieved. Overturning the common sense of low water resistant compact pencil baits, the high level operability will not let the others follow.
“See-saw balancing system PAT.” updated from the engineering of the first model is added, and the new design “Water through-Gill PAT.” which increases its stability by biting the water is applied. The original balancing body D.PAT.P by the high mounted-line eye that behaves responsively has been applied to achieve a real game.
Many of Yuki Ito’s lure technology and design logic is loaded. DOG-X that caught fishes that could not be caught has evolved into a new generation DOG-X challenging clever and tough monsters in the 21st century.

DOG-X QUICK WALKER
The DOG-X QUICK WALKER supercharges the original DOG-X's dog walking prowess with a redesigned body, improved balancer system, and one-knock sound.
It greatly surpasses the expectations for standard-sized pencil baits with its dynamic water displacement, sharp table turns and its one-knock sound, stimulating cruising fish in the mid range.
The casting distance has been improved upon as well, to allow for speedy coverage of wide areas. This DOG-X will set fire to dormant beasts, even more so than the original.

History of MEGABASS
The birth of Megabass in the U.S. is the stuff of legend, involving a cross-country trek in the early 90’s, in which the Megabass designer/CEO Yuki Ito challenged pro staff of local stores and area pros to one-on-one fishing duels. The rules were simple: if Yuki Ito won, the store had to buy his lures; if the U.S. angler won, then Yuki had to buy local tackle from the store. This “put your money where your mouth is” approach, combined with the quality and flat out fish-catching ability that was evident in Yuki’s handcrafted Megabass equipment, succeeded in convincing stores to take on this premium imported tackle.
Today Megabass still embodies that daring spirit. Each product is a painstaking marriage of handmade form and technological innovation. Megabass strives to capture the same care, quality, and attention to detail embodied by the handmade tradition. In a modern age dominated by CAD and mass production, every Megabass lure is based on a hand-carved Yuki Ito original.
